Welcome to the CSRA community’s premier multipurpose event complex. Our goal is provide a safe and friendly environment for individual organizations and professional show producers who wish host an event in surroundings that will meet their needs in the most professional manner. From the local community volunteer group to the professional show manager, the Hippodrome staff can help you with all of your needs.

The Hippodrome located in North Augusta, SC has played host to some of the largest equestrian events in the Southeast. It is well within reason that the Hippodrome can serve a general population of 11 million with it’s 2.5 hour proximity from several major cities, like Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA to name a few, making it the perfect destination for hosting large scale productions.

The Hippodrome is renowned for hosting events such as the Augusta Cutting Futurity, which brings in over 700 cutters and their horses; the annual World Champion National Barrel Horse Race which plays host to over 1700 riders in October of each year; and in addition for the past 10 years the Hippodrome has hosted the Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day Barrel Race with each event drawing over 500 riders and horses.

The Hippodrome’s proximity to the Augusta Civic Center makes it the ideal staging center for many large productions – parades, circus events and other major events that may require multiple staging areas.
